Telework, more a choice than an obligation
Since the start of the pandemic, all structures have been forced to switch to teleworking, an organization which was difficult but which ended up being established and part of the daily life of each worker.
Today, the end of the tunnel is starting to appear, and several companies have started to resume face-to-face, the habit of moving to their place of work and working from their desk – like in the good old days – but is it is that good news?
According to several surveys, several workers have approved the idea of staying on telework and going to the office only once or twice a week, following the several advantages offered by this alternative.
Let us therefore recall the advantages that telework offers for the employer and the employee:
- For the employer :
- An increase in the flexibility of human resources.
A reduction in absenteeism and delays, especially in large cities in the event of traffic jams, strikes, etc. - Reduced overhead and expenses.
- An increase in motivation.
- An increase in competitiveness.
- An increase in the flexibility of human resources.
- For the teleworker :
- Reduction and even elimination of transport times
- More flexible work schedules that leave the teleworker more time in their day and week.
- A gain in autonomy and responsibility, because the teleworker organizes his own schedule.
- An increase in efficiency.
- A reduction in the stress caused by travel (no more long hours spent in traffic jams or trips spent in public transport).
Finally, far from being an obligation, telework becomes a choice that can be very favorable to both employers and employees; on the environmental side too, it helps to reduce pollution by reducing traffic and traffic jams.
