Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence: an economic benefit or a social loss?

In a world that is developing hot day by day, artificial intelligence is beginning to gain momentum making the work simpler and faster but above all more accurate with minimal error probabilities but analyzing the concept in more detail we realize that it is never as we imagined and that we are never spared the inconveniences which can sometimes be very critical.

The question we are asking today will be legitimate in a context where human competence is beginning to lose its place, we are being replaced every day by more efficient and more precise algorithms. Despite all the advantages we already know, we prefer to shed light on the dark side of the concept:

Unemployment :

A social phenomenon whose rate of development increases every year.
After the effects caused by the relocation, the artificial intelligence has just dug a deeper hole to bury this rate even more.
According to a study conducted by the firm Gartner: “By 2030 several trades will be replaced” or if we prefer the exact term “robotics“.

Lack of creativity:

  • Although we are talking about “robot advisers” or virtual assistance, the algorithms remain limited and above all lack the intuitive capacity of which only the human brain holds the exact exclusivity.
  • The sense of initiative and improvement.
  • The absence of the emotional and moral side will always be an annoying element that will limit the usefulness of the performance of artificial intelligence
  • No one will deny all the ease it provides in several areas but without human intelligence the concept remains good in execution.
  • Researchers are still based on the idea of copying the neuronal structure of humans to leave more fields of development for this artificial intelligence, but will this be of service to humanity or will it be just a point more to disadvantage the human?
  • Excess is always a disservice, and finding the middle ground is a question whose answer is continually sought.
